I have a 18ft +2 (beaver tail) bumper pull trailer rated at 9000lbs gross weight so that's about 7000lbs capacity... I believe the width is 84" between the fenders... It's a nice trailer that's low to the ground... I've hauled a SMTA (too wide to fit between the fenders-a slloooww 20miles) and MV (1300 miles) which barely fit...

Anyway. I would reccommend a flat deck bumper pull or a goose neck if you're hauling a 400... then you don't have to mess with the rear tire width...
