farmall H, hand crank coupling missing

purchasing a non-running H with the hand crank coupling device missing from it. guess my question is what would be involved installing one?
It must have sheared off?

Also the transmission is stuck in 3rd gear, will not budge.
Any adivice on what to look for, I have not had to open a transmission before.
