There is a band on either side. You might not notice anything leaking until you get the band off. If the seal is bad, the band will be soaked with grease. I have found that aftermarket bands are thinner than IH, and I have had trouble with them breaking. Others here do not seem to have that problem. I bought an IH replacement band a couple weeks ago. It was $75 at the local dealer, but when I get to the end of the field, I would rather turn than go through the fence. Once you install the new bands, you will have to adjust them. The operator's manual gives the procedure. When I adjusted mine, the covers would get warm when I was driving the tractor and I had to loosen the adjusters another 1/4 turn. Greg
