Salvage yards that won"t sell anything out have always bugged
me. There is a yard not too far from me that I bought a LOT of
good stuff from over the years for cheap. (A solid Stainless steel
semi tank for $300 that I have used to haul manure for several
years) New management got in there and now they will sell you
stuff, but at 2-3 times scrap prices. Others, as you said, won"t
sell anything out.
I"d rather see those tractors in the fence row yet rather than
being scrapped.
