Don: New reproduction or aftermarket parts are quite hard to ship in small quantities for a couple of reasons. First brokerage firms that clear these items through customs charge per invoice. Very little difference in the cost of your few parts from that of a trailer load. Secondly, most US parts houses have retailers here in Canada, and many times those Canadian retailers are able to sell for less in CAD than the US company lists it for in their catalogue in USD. They are giving these Canadian retailers wholesale pricing and because the shipment is larger the border charges per item is quite low. Just to give you an example, one of the major aftermarket parts companies in the US have a new 10x24 rin for Farmall 140 in their catalogue at $96.95 USD. I bought one of those rims from their Canadian retailer for $100. CAD. Haven't checked in the past few days but the CAD is only about $0.88 USD. So they are actually selling that rim for less in Canada than in the US.
