HYDRAULIC... feel like I am on crazy pills

before I began frequenting this forum, I used to have faith in my spelling. No offense, but these misspellings crack me up. I have seen this word spelled a jillion different ways on here, and I am now doubting if I am right, if I have been misspelling everything from hyderolic to carbretar all my life. Is it obsessive compulsive of me to spell correctly? I did think (me being an anthropoligist) that the spell checkers of microsoft and others in this computer age would slow down the wheels of change when it came to language morphing. such as the old english of chaucer being unreadable to us now adays. But PEOPLE FIND A WAY, don't they... Man is unbelievable. I love it.
