To get air out of the system just work the hydraulics while filling the reservoir. You also might check all the connections and such to make sure everything is sealed.

Also you said, "the left one goes out fairly fast and is really really hard to push the piston back in but the right one goes out slow and is really easy to push back in".

The right cylinder may be bad.
