every one of your observations to your firing was exactly like my cub. i narrowed it donwn to the mag. sent it in to have rebuilt and she runs like a champ. the person who rebuilt it said it something inside was slipping, a keyway or something to that effect. thats why sometimes it would run on 2 or 4 or 3 clylinders.
