Sounds like your generator is not working. First thing I'd do is replace the ammeter. You can then tell with certainly whether the generator is charging the battery, also whether there is a current drain on the battery with everything shut off. ---- More than like the oil leak is from one (or both) seals at the front of the transmission. The upper seal is fir the input shaft from the engine, the lower one is the drive for the hydraulic pump. If you remove the dust cover under the tractor between the belly pump and the transmission you should be able to quickly determine where the oil is leaking from. Fortunately the seals are cheap and can be replaced without splitting the tractor. You will however need to drop the belly pump to get at 'em.
