Hi Scotty, according to the I&T Shop Service manual there is supposed to be 1 3/4" free travel on the clutch pedal measured from the running board. Make sure the clutch pedal return spring is not broken. This spring keeps the clutch in the rest position 6" from running board and also keeps the throughout bearing from touching fingers on pressure plate. JB2
