Funny thing is, when I go tractor shopping.....the junk I see offered is pathetic and the prices asked are even worse. But when I go to sell.....and my stuff looks good and works as advertised....nobody wants to buy it. LOL! I think most of this stuff is overpriced and nostalgia only goes so far with me. Some equipment auctions have genuine bargains, but most of the stuff is fresh off the farm and the product of a hard life and 50 years of neglect. Baling wire, duct tape and cold welds are the norm, oil black as tar, steering loose as a goose and slick tires...and the owner will smile and ask you $2000 for it. Take a look at ebay.....I am sure everybody here prowls there like I do. You'll see everything from scrap iron, to what somebody considers the Holy Grail and priced accordingly. I see junk sell high and decent items lowballed while the buzzards circle for a free lunch. The only tractor I sometimes wish I had kept was a '56 Allis CA...and that isn't often.
