There are two lift rods that attach to the rock shaft and these have springs on them..sorta like shock absorbers. I have the 144 manual...if I had a copier I'd send you the pix. I have bought more damned manuals in the last 2 months than ever in my life and from what I can see, mostly a waste of money. None of this stuff is rocket science and it is crazy for every one of us to own a personal copy of each and every manual ever printed. There ought to be an archive showing the exploded diagrams found in these books and make them printable.
