I’m guessing that the plugs you are referring to are the ones for the lift-all hydraulic pump. Sit on the tractor. The oil fill for the engine is on the right hand side between the distributor (or magneto) and the fan shroud. It is a cast cover about 2.5 inches in diameter and kind of looks like a big wing nut. The check for oil level are petcocks located on the oil pan below the frame again on the right hand side. Petcocks were standard however one may have been changed over to a dipstick, (mine was) but that dipstick is only about 5 inches long. Oil coming from the bottom petcock is enough, but should really come out the top after a fill up. A good M engine will peg the oil pressure gauge to the right (75 psi) at medium to high RPM. This is not a problem. Hope this helps.
