The Saginaw hitch has dual lifting cylinders, 2 grease fittings on the pivot shaft and catagory 1 & 2 holes on the lift arms. It is a quality piece of fabrication. While the Farmall 450 has the weight and horsepower to pull and lift a category 2 implement such as a Domeries 8' tandem vineyard disc or a 12' Varisimo flail mower, most older restored tractors will never be required to do this type of heavy lifing and draft work. The cost of these type of 3 point implements is prohibitive for small acreage. In my humble opinion, I would advise anybody purchasing a 3 point hitch to consider the ultimate end use of the tractor. The older tractors will last longer with the lighter catagory 1 implements and will not require as much extra weight on the front end. We always use catagory 1 implements on the old faithful Farmall "M" and leave the heavy work to the newer tractors. BTDT. Have fun. Working on the old tractors is a very enjoyable and satisfying hobby. Ray (medfarm)
