At one time we had a machine for checking out distributors. It would tell you if the advance was working and if the dwell was set correctly or if it fluctated from a worn shaft or bearing. They had a machine in the electric shop for mags. When they changed over to diesels I guess that machine went to the salvage yard. That's where they sent the mobile field dynamometer too. They should've sent it to the museum at APG with the rest of that junk. It would hold a vehicle with 100,000 pounds of drawbar pull. Hal
