Light grey does not sound right at all. Almost sounds like engine oil. 6 gallons of 90W or 85W140 is around $35 or so. I recommend you drain and refill the system. If the gear shift is worn where it fits into the forks, you could in fact have 2 gears engaged when you shut down and then maybe you moved the shift lever. Justin should come on line later and is an expert on the transmission stuff along with other Farmallers.
