Our IH mechanic gave my brother holy hell for not using low ash oil in his 606 gas. He always used 15-40 diesel oil in it. It reminds me of the oil filter comercial that said "You can pay me now or pay me later." My brother paid dearly later! As far as gas is concerned the jobber always mixes an octane booster in all of our farm gas.
