Grant, I have a 544D rowcrop, although it is a hydro. It is a great tractor. I paid $3200 with 4000 hours, a 2001 loader, cab, 3 sets of wheel weights and a set of chains. Tires were shot, paint was bad, mechannically sound. Yes , I did get a deal. It is a cold blooded ol girl so make sure you are ready to deal with that. I just put on $1100 worth of tires and fluid. I would not p[art with mine for less than$7000. But it has been totally refinished , injector pump rbuilt as well. Unless that 544 is in excellent condition I would not pay more than $4500. 50% tires dont get much done if your gonna do much pulling so ad a grand to whatever you pay.
