Hello All-I need to remove my governor to check springs and wts. My manual from Binders doesn"t really give a "removal" direction. Can anyone tell me if the governor can be removed from the radiator side (4-5 bolts holding housing on) witout bothering mag and timing? Will I need to watch fo the old "flyng parts"nightmare when I remove the gov. via th cover/housing I am describing from the radiator side? I did go thru archives, couldn"t really find my answer. There are some posts about making sure pts are open and #1 is at tdc and don"t turn the motor when pulling mag-but is taking the gov. off the back side of the mag/timing unit going to affect the timing gear ect. if nothing is turned? Thanks in advance for any input. Steve in ND
