Old 8777 M Head Worth Shaving??

We are just putting the old Farmall M back together. It has the old sytle 8777 head and flat top pistons.Friend of mine offered to shave the head down if I brought it over to his shop. How much HP(if any) would I gain with the shave if I left everything else like it is(stock).Also how much can you shave off a head like this without any problems. HANK
