Take a good, close look at those rivets. The rivets on my 1940 M turned out to tiny little screws, with slotted heads for a tiny screw driver. Those screws turned out quite easily, and then I was able to clean up underneath the the tag. I don't know if those screws are original, but they appeared to be.
