Just for a short trip one axle would have been o.k. any 14-15 tire will do having 4 to carry 2000 gross is only 500lbs per tire and then just for short run. I have several thousand mi with an old two wheel no springs with 6ply 11Lx15 tires hauling a B FARMALL and never did have any problems interstate and all. That was with 55mi speed limit but wouldnt do it now.
