Why do you say that the stock rear cast center will be my weakest link. Allow me to quote something that I read in a Farmall history book. "The 1206 was basically a turbocharged 806 from the outside. However, the driveline had been re-engineered to fully account for the horsepower increase. Engineers where questioning the long-term reliability of the 1206 after such a great success with the 706 and 806, senior management would not even consider even a small calculated risk; the 1206 program was thus delayed. When the final product was officially introduced, the drive line was right". As I dug into finding out more about what this mean't. Part of what I have found out is that the 1206 has thicker bull gears and larger housing along with a larger axle. Perhaps they did produce some 806's and just put turbo's on them and nothing else was modified and sold them as 1206's until they realized..whoops, we better take another look at this. So what have you seen fail? I'm not going pro or anything like that, just gonna play with the locals.
