i just bought an international tractor and i am trying to find out what year it is. the model # is international 404. the serial #is 1139j. so i would guess it is a model 404. i think from what i found on this site it is a 1962. it is a 4 cylinder gas. i think it has 3 or 4 forward gears. and 1 reverse. my father owned this tractor in the 80's thats why i wanted it so bad. i will go pull it out of the weeds on friday and see if i can get it home and then i will have more info. thanks for your help guys. this tractor means alot to me because my father once owned it. i bought it from the man that my father sold it to. i got it for $200.00. it needs alot of cleaning up it has been sitting for about 6-8 years.it comes with a 5 foot bush hog and box blade. sorry for the long post but i am excited about getting this tractor back.
