If the steering is tight and the tierods and spindle bushings are good, and if the TA works under load (starting out in fifth TA then going to direct w/o slipping, I would believe 2500-3500 would be fair. I do not know what freshened up means. If it is operated for an hour or so under load with no smoke, and the fluids look clean, it is worth it (or would be to me).
