It's called a water pump "drive" pin in my H parts book, and a water pump "driver" pin in my M parts book. Shaft pin or wedge block are good descriptions also. I suppose the 400 could be different, but I don't think so. I have an old Super H water pump. I went out, took off the nut, pushed on the THREADED end and it came out. The bolts with the springs on them just screw out.
