I have searched the archives and have only succeeded in confusing myself even more. I have a 1942 Farmall M that needs pistons, sleeves and new cylinder head. As the subject says, I have an 8060 head. What I think I should do is get the 4 inch bore pistons and sleeves with the "M, W6, T6 with fire crater type pistons. 1.312 O.D. piston pin." If I pop for the extra money on the a)oversize pistons, and/or b)the fire crater pistons will I see a significant increase in power from the stock M engine? Will the fire crater pistons work in the 8060 head? Will going with the fire crater pistons have an adverse effect on the longevity of the engine? I won't be using this for a pulling tractor. It will be pulling a disc, and other assorted tasks. I apologize if all this info is in the archives, but before I lay out the dough, I want to be sure that I am doing the right thing. Thanks, Tom

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
