That's not stupid, I must admit my blades were running backwards when I took the deck off my Super A and put it on the Cub. I noticed after an hour, so I crossed the belt between the idlers and the deck to switch the rotation. Also, make sure the blades of the mower on the cub are a little lower in the front than the back, will make a big difference. That deck is a lot for a cub if not adjusted right or if the grass is very thick. At my previous house I could mow in second gear, this house has thicker grass and I mow in first gear. Hence the Super A! Jack
