I don't have any experience with the WD-9. However I grew up driving an MD and now own an MD. Both of these peg the oil pressure gage at full engine speed, even after the engine is warm. I think the gages IH used did not have the range to make them run in mid range. Only at slower speed will the gage come into range. So, I think what you are seeing is normal. To check it get a gage that shows the pressure and try that to see what you have and that it is reasonable.
