Quoting from the H service manual -- I have not done this--: "Gaskets between the body and cover are .006 inches thick; use these as shims to obtain .003-.005-inch end play of the drive shaft when assembled. Idler shaft should be concentric with body bore and square with the bottom of the gear chamber within .001 inch." In other words you use gaskets as necessary to get the proper clearance. If the pump was working ok to begin with, put the same number of new gaskets in as you took out--I'm not the expert on this. Further info is in the service manual, too much for my slow typing. The relief valve itself should still be available from Case-IH.
