Those protruded about 12" to 15" beyond hitch sockets. The top link hookup on tractor was a device that clamped around the hitch rockshaft. A top link came with the kit. If I were looking for such a kit today, I'd do a search on Saginaw County Tractor, there may be others, and I'm sure you will get advice on that. One thing I would advise, is don't spend a lot of money, you will want a modern tractor that you mount and dismount ahead of rear wheel, that is the secret to a good hitch.

One of the major problems of mounted equipment and it doesn't matter whether it is fast hitch or 3 point, on older North American row crop tractors like the 560, the position to the operators platform makes it just about impossible to install a good hitch. You just can't get the necessary lift range. When IH and indeed other companies moved the operators platform ahead, that created space for a rear hitch to work well. It also made getting on and off tractor ahead of rear wheel functional. You wouldn't believe the injuries sustained, by operators of rear mount tractors with mounted equipment. The old H, M, 300, etc swinging drawbar was always the same height when stepping down from tractor, fast hitches and 3 points were not. Believe me I still have scars on my legs from climbing on these tractors. Those injuries weren't the worst, the ones you remember most are when your foot slipped and your groin took the bulk of your weight over the frame of a corn planter or plow.

A while back on discussion a lady asked if a Farmall M with loader and 3 point mounted bush hog would be ideal for use around her horse farm, mainly mowing and moving manure. I advised since your use of a tractor is on and off quite often, buy a tractor that you mount and dismount ahead of rear wheel. I also advised her that if she had nice legs, it wasn't necessary to abuse them climbing over a 3 point bush hog just to get on the tractor.
