Thanks Rob. I'll go ahead and remove the head. Didn't want to start removing bolts that did not need to be removed. I wonder if I could match the bolts up to new ones at the hardware store--good quality steel ones? I probably need to rotate the engine to top-dead-center, #1 cyl. I haven't done that yet. I'll be careful on the re-torquing of the head and the pattern. I saw that posted on this website in an old message. Thanks.
