W9 LP vs. Gas difference

I have 2 w9s to make 1. Both have cracked heads. The one with LP had domed pistons and higher compression head.(have had this one running) The gas has flat pistons with bigger chamber heads.(engine froze and rough)The Lp engine I want to repair and run on gas. Will this give me more Hp than the gas? Anyone know when I might find a good head?
