282 small wrist pins

I'm having my 560's 282 rebuilt (had a blown head gasket). While she was opened up the mechanic suggested replacing sleeves, pistons, bearings, etc. This is an early engine, with the small wrist pins. I got the wrong parts from an aftermarket supplier, and again today working through my dealer. In fairness to the dealer, I asked him for non-IH parts due to the price ($120/hole aftermarket vs $300/hole IH).

Options seem to be...
1. order through dealer at $500/hole
2. go aftermarket and replace connecting rods with larger wrist pins (another $59/hole)
3. Re-use pistons, get wrist pins through dealer

Should I upgrade to larger wrist pins?
