Gear Problem, Model A

I am refurbushing a Farmall Model A and have a gear problem or at least I think it is a gear problem.

The only gear that I have is reverse and this only works in what is the neutral position.
No other gear will engage in any forward position. When I put it in any forward position, and release the clutch, I get nothing but the tractor attempting to stall.

Any help on what the problem might be and what I would have to do to fix it would be appreciated.
