In addition to Rusty's Idea, (If the exhaust is smoking black when the missing happens, the following is not the problem). There needs to be enough fuel flow to provide the engine while working. If the needle and seat are clean, the strainer screen on the fuel inlet at the carb is unblocked, and the little screen in, and inlet tube, to the sediment bulb, and the vent in the new replacement free fuelcap from the program, are clean, there should be enough fuel. It should run out of the drain in the carb (if it has one) in a stream 1/8" in dia. for two minutes (into a pan). if it starts commimg out fast then slows it needs more cleaning.
