Big project was and it ain't good . Let see here we have three pices of Cough Choke John Deere equipment One 720 diesel one 1240 J D Corn planter and this dumb stupid pice of junk John Deere haybine and that is what broke down . The slip clutch drive plate is welded on the input to the gear box and this is the second time that it has broken the welds since we have had it . Well last year it did it while i was running dozer for a buddy and not getting home till late every evening so Eugene had his brother weld it and Vernon is a welder by trade and a good one at that well 7018 did not hold on the shaft. so this time i tore the gear box apart and removed the shaft and monday i will get some super stickem rod and glue this thing back together , next time if it want to break it will take that 550 dollar shaft and twist it off. I sure do hope scrap prices stay up as if it breaks again it will become part of a Toyota.
