i priced out new 18.4-r38 at $715 each. 1000-16 were $130 each. dealer offered to take $500 off. now its the 966 & 686 plus $2500. going into this i was looking maybe the tractors and $2000. i'm going to see if i can keep the top link off my 966 and i have brand new 1000-16 4 rib tires on the 966. will see if i can swap them with 3688. this might get me closer to my number of 2 grand. as i said before i'm not completely sold on this for many of the reasons stated here. i have been agonizing over this. i may sell the 966 outright and keep the 686 for planting. i was looking to get a planting tractor with a cab that could back up the 5288 if need be. it would be nice to payoff some debt. thanks for so much for everyone's input!!! Duane
