Delbert: Your right about those 33 and 33A loaders coming on market at the same time as 300 and 400, however I do know of at least 4 of those loaders sold new and mounted on letter series tractors. They also worked quite well. Is your M belly pump or live hydraulics? If I remmember correctly 33 was trip bucket and 33A had hydraulic bucket. Both versions could be equiped with single or double action lift cylinders. My dad had a 30 or 31 loader he bought new with an H, mounted from H to 300, wasn't happy with the move so he traded loaders for a 33A with hydraulic bucket and double action lift cylinders. It never did lift as well as the old loader. Even the old H with 30 or 31 would lift and load manure out of the pile better than the 300 with the 33A loader. I remember the IH dealer changed the lift cylinders to heavier, larger bore cylinders. They added a 5 gallon resovoir. After 2 years we gave up on the 33A loader and bought a Cockshutt 540 with a Wagner loader. This freed the 300 up for full time field work, I say this as I didn't want you to think loader was the only reason for that move. We needed another tractor and the Cockshutts of that era were much better loader tractors than Farmalls. Farmalls were the best field work tractor ever, and we wanted the 300 free of the loader. By the way a guy came along one day bought that 33A loader, installed it on an H and was quite happy with it, so what you have can be corrected.
