Sleeve's - What would I be in for.

I was looking at a F-12 maybe to buy, the engine is locked up, and am sure I would have to go with new sleeves for it. What kind of a job is it to get the old sleeves out and the new in? Is it something that the ordinary "garage mechanic" can do at home, with no special tools?
Do the F-12's have any known problem area's I should look for? Thanks in advance for you're help.
