Paul, I need your assistance. I recently purchased what appears to be a 1939 H that went through our spring grass fires. It has the slot top trans cover and the correct seat, but a later pto. This seems like a pretty difficult change just to get a 1-3/8 pto, so I don't know what the deal is. Serial number plate melted in the fire, but engine number is 10066 which makes it a late '39 (changeover is 10600 according to my records). What I am trying to do is identify what parts are unique to the '39's. I wasn't aware of the bolster. Could you send me a photo or a better description so I can determine if I have the correct bolster? Thanks.
