I don't think many tractors were made using that engine. They should've used an engine that was in production. Detroit diesel or Cummins probably had engines at that time that would've been a better choice. The Army had a lot of 2 1/2 ton trucks that used a Continental multi-fuel engine. It smoked terrible and sometime in the late 60's Germany forbid the Army to operate those trucks due to the heavy exhaust smoke. They eventually bought German trucks made by the MAN company. These diesel trucks didn't smoke very much. Politics played a big part in using Continental engines since they were used a lot Army vehicles. The M88 and M60 were just a few of them. You may be able to have a sleeve made at this company. Some of the people that post on here have used them. Here's their web site and phone number. On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
