They are not meant to be taken apart, but somebody put it together when it was new, and if you are determined enough, you can take it apart. A small screwdriver or similar used as a prying device will allow you to straighten out the crimped edge where the bezel that holds the glass is formed around the body of the guage. Look it over carefully, use a lot of patience, and you can get it apart without breaking anything, and be able to put it all back together again.
