Jon, The mag was rebuilt by a shadetree mechanic in Foley Alabama, but he sure knew his stuff. It is not intermittant, does it all the time. He put in a new coil and not sure what else but it is the same distributor cap that was on it; and I'm reasonably sure I have it clipped correctly.I have another J4 here and maybe tomorrow I can get aroung to putting it on and see if I can "move" the problem to a cub stationary engine I have. I'll post the results of this witch hunt. Thx, Joe Howard
