Allan: Wouldn't argue with those figures, my temp reading was not very scientific. Your car is engineered for speed. Your tractor, while it has a road gear was not engineered for extended periods in that gear. It was engineered for the field work. I think he said 400 miles, if on ashpalt, I'll bet that will peel somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 tread off those tires.
