My original comment was not in defense of Chat's, but a question as to why people get so worked up when the subject of the fabled Super HTA is broached. I have yet to see any true intent to defraud in any reported case of a Super HTA. People say that just because someone paid $10,000 at an auction for one, that he was somehow fooled into thinking that it was a factory machine. What if he just liked the tractor, knew full well that it was a one-off custom, and paid what he thought was a fair price? That's the far far far more likely scenario. It happens all the time at auto auctions. Anyone with Speed Channel can see it on the Barrett-Jackson auto auctions on a weekly basis. That's all I have to say on this subject.
