I have one on my 1951 M. It adds four additional gears between the standard 4th and 5th gears. The standard 4th is around 6 or 7 mph. and 5th is around 16 mph. These four additional gears increase the speed of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th to something in the range of 7 to 12 mph. You certainly can pull a fair load in 4th then (with the Hiesler in high range) at around 12 mph. 5th gear is not affected in any manner and a 30 mph 5th is just not in the cards. Hope this helps.
