Depends on whether your loyalties are on the red/white/black side of the line, or the red/gray side. Lots of bad stuff has been said over the years about the DV-550 in the Farmall; meanwhile, the Perkins diesel in the MF is pretty stout, but parts for a Perkins seem to me are pretty high thru the MF dealers. And I'm a Farmall guy myself. Not experienced with the 1568, mind you, but I hear things about 'em from time to time. Dad was a Farmall dealer from the '40's thru the '60's, but he had a lot of respect for Perkins diesels...and not much respect for the diesel stuff IH was putting out before the DT-466.
