I have Firestone Field and Road on two of my tractors, they are inside, the oldest pair is 4 years old, look like new. Crack when inside, I don't think so. New Goodyears on my M 6 years ago, same thing. I have NEVER seen cracks on automotive tires. I only drive about 12000 miles/year, split between two vehicles, so the tires are on them several years. Must be those Canadian winters, freezing and thawing, etc.
