First thing I would do is hot wire it. If when hot wired you have spark you know the problem is from the coil back. If you don't have spark then you know the problem is from to coil forward. You could have a bad cap or rotor either one can cause you to loose spark, I've seen more then on rotor that shorted to the distubutor shaft and boy that problem is hard to figure out
